A calm place to begin

Helping every child develop — and every family find their way.

We understand your child first — then we help them develop, and explain every step.

The first step is small. A phone call, a few questions, a conversation. Nothing to sign, nothing to decide yet.

What families often notice first

The signs are often ordinary. The effort behind them isn’t.

Sometimes there is no single moment that tells you what is wrong. There are just patterns that keep repeating. Those patterns are enough to start a conversation.

Communication01
A parent calmly uses picture cards with a child at a table

They know what they want. Getting the words out is the hard part.

You may be hearing fewer words than you expected, struggling to understand what they mean, or watching frustration build when they cannot get their point across.

  • They use gestures, sounds, or pulling you to communicate
  • They understand more than they can say
The school day02
A school-age child working at a desk with a supportive parent nearby

They are trying hard. School is still taking a lot out of them.

Reading, writing, attention, transitions, or keeping up with a busy classroom can make a capable child feel worn out long before the day is over.

  • Homework takes much longer than it should
  • Small tasks need a lot of reminders
Everyday routines03
Getting readyMealsPlayBedtime

The ordinary parts of the day are asking for too much effort.

Getting dressed, eating, using hands, joining play, moving through a noisy place, or settling for bed can turn into the part of the day everyone braces for.

  • Mornings, meals, play, or bedtime feel harder than they need to
  • Big feelings arrive when a routine changes

Why families choose Cornerstone

The things you are worried to say out loud deserve careful attention.

Worries about words, school, play, or everyday life are never “small things” here. Cornerstone was founded in 2014 by Vidyasagar, a speech-language pathologist, for families who need care that begins with a child’s actual day—not a generic system.

The practice grew through family recommendations and clinical work—one conversation, one child, one next step at a time. Today, its clinicians work across speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, and early intervention — and the team is trained in a range of specialised approaches, from PROMPT and DIR/Floortime to the Hanen Centre programmes and Handwriting Without Tears.

What you seeWhat we learn together

Your first visit

You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis or the right words.

Bring the day-to-day details. We will ask the questions that help us understand what is easy for your child, what is taking effort, and what would make the biggest difference next.

  1. 01

Start with your child’s real day

What do they enjoy? Where do things get stuck? What happens at home, school, or in play?

  2. 02

    Understand before we recommend

We listen, observe, and explain what we are looking at—without rushing to put a label on your child.

  3. 03

    Leave knowing what comes next

You will understand the support being suggested, why it may help, and how to take the next step.

How we work

What every family should get.

Whatever brings you to us, we hold ourselves to three things. They are the whole of how we work.

01

A clear, honest answer.

You will hear what we see — what is typical for your child’s age, what may need support, and what we would do about it. In plain words, with no scare and no jargon. If we are not the right place for your child, we will tell you that too.

02

Progress you can see.

Children rarely change overnight. They change in small, dated steps — a new word, a calmer morning, a sentence where there used to be one. We agree what to look at, put goals in writing, and review them with you about once every four months.

03

Parents who know what to do.

A session is short; a week is long. We will explain what to practise at home, why it works, and who to ask when you are stuck. The people who help your child most are you — we are here to make that easier.

Not a pre-set planA plan
for your
child

The Cornerstone way

A plan for your child should fit their real life.

No two children arrive with the same strengths, routines, or reason for needing help. That is why we do not begin with a packet that could belong to anyone.

We begin with context. Then we make the plan clear enough for you to understand and take part in.

What are we working on?A goal connected to a real part of your child’s day.
Why does this come first?A clear explanation of what will make a difference now.
How will we know it is helping?A shared understanding of the changes you are looking for.

Your child’s plan should fit their real life—not the other way around.A Cornerstone principle, shaped by Vidyasagar, Founder & Clinical Director

Before you call

You do not need to be certain before you reach out.

No. You can start by telling us what you have been noticing.
Do I need to know which therapy my child needs?
No. We will help you understand what support may be the right place to begin.

You can still call. We will start by understanding what you are seeing and help you decide whether a first visit is the right next step.
What should I share?
Your child’s age, what is feeling hard, and whether you notice it most at home, school, or both.

A small first step

Tell us what feels hardest for your child right now.

That is enough to begin. Call the Cornerstone team to ask about a first visit, the right service, or the centre closest to you.

Call, write, or book a visit. We will explain what happens next and what the first step costs. A consultation is ₹1,000; therapy sessions start at ₹900. You can ask about fees before you decide anything.

Both centres run one shift: Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 6:30 pm, and Saturday 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. The after-school hours, 3:00 to 6:30, are our busiest — that is when most school-age children come. Mornings are quieter, and usually easier to book.

Call +91 70225 30530 during working hours and someone on the team will talk with you. We will listen first. That is the Cornerstone way.
