Is this your child?

A word has been sitting in your mind.

Maybe a doctor said it. Maybe a teacher did. Maybe you’ve been saying it silently to yourself at night. Whatever brought you here, this page is calm, factual, and honest — because you deserve all three.

Autism. Some parents feel their chest tighten at the word. Others feel a strange relief — finally, a name for the feeling that something is different. Both are normal. Take your time here.

The three places parents arrive from

You suspect.

Something is different in how your child plays, speaks, or connects, but nobody has said the word. Trust what you’re seeing — parents are usually right to notice first.

Someone else said it first.

A teacher, a relative, a paediatrician. You’re here to check whether they’re right — and that’s exactly what an assessment is for.

Your child was just diagnosed.

You may be grieving, relieved, or exhausted — often all three in the same hour. This page is for you too. The help below is what comes next, at whatever age your child is now.

What autism means here

If autism has been mentioned, or you have been wondering about it, you deserve a calm conversation. This page cannot diagnose your child. A clinical assessment can help build a fuller picture, and a qualified professional can explain whether another assessment is needed.

Every child with autism is different — which is why help is never built from one formula. We work with your child’s profile: what they do well, what’s hard, and what actually helps — rather than trying to make them someone else.

What we’d do first

The same thing as for every child: assessment comes first. A first assessment builds a developmental picture — what your child does well, what’s hard, what help would look like. It is not a rush to label anyone. If a formal diagnosis is needed — by a developmental paediatrician or child psychologist — we’ll say so clearly and help you with that next step.

What help looks like here — and what it doesn’t

Support is built around your child and your home, and we introduce it one step at a time rather than all at once.

Both centres

Occupational therapy

For daily skills, sensory sensitivities, and the small tasks that exhaust children.

Both centres

Early intervention

For younger children, through Elements — now delivered one-to-one for children roughly under three.

And what we don’t do matters as much. We don’t promise a cure, and we don’t sell any single programme as the answer. Support depends on your child’s needs and on the services available at the centre you choose. We will explain the provider, approach, goals, and fees before you decide. And we will never talk you into a programme.

Early help — without guilt

Early help matters — and it is not a weapon to make you feel late. Nothing you did caused this, and no age so far has closed any door. Children begin support at two, at six, at nine, and every one of them gains something real. Earlier starts tend to mean fewer habits to untangle. That’s the whole truth of it, said without a single “if only you’d come sooner” — because that sentence helps no one.

Honest answers

  • Can my child go to a regular school?

Some children with autism manage well in a school setting that supports their needs; others need a different pace or setting. What fits depends on your child — that’s what an assessment and time will show. We work alongside schools, and we’ll be honest about what we think will fit.

  • Will my child be independent one day?

This is the question underneath so many others. Independence grows in steps, differently for every child — communication first, then daily skills, then the bigger world. Our job is to make each step solid, and to never let you measure your child against one who isn’t yours.

  • What kind of behavioural support do you offer — and how does it work?

It’s psychology-led support, delivered by our educational psychologist at Kalyan Nagar. It starts with understanding your child: what the behaviour is communicating, and what would help. From there we build strategies with you, not imposed on your child. We’ll explain exactly what a plan includes — and what it doesn’t — before you book. If we’re not the right team for your child, we’ll say so and help you find who is.

  • My child is seven and was just diagnosed. Where do we start?

At a conversation. Children diagnosed later start the same way as everyone else: a full picture of who your child is today, strengths first. There is no catch-up exam, and no shame in the road you’ve travelled to get here.
